The Fast Startup virtual switchboard is the equivalent of an elaborate PBX telephone switchboard – all of the functionality for a fraction of the cost.
When a call is received, the caller is presented with an interactive menu of options. When they select one they are redirected to that service, held in a queue, switched through to a message service, or whatever other option you have set. The system is completely flexible, down to the length of time calls are held in a queue before being redirected and the hold music.
Answer phone messages are stored in a mailbox and can be accessed via a web-based interface or forwarded by email – the virtual switchboard service can even contact you by email or SMS when a fax is received.
You can tell the virtual switchboard when your working day ends, and all calls will then be automatically put through to the service of your choice – usually an answer phone service or a recorded message.
All Fast Startup services have the ability to use multiple simultaneous phone lines, even if you only have access to one line. The Fast Startup platform will automatically allocate and de-allocate as many phone lines as your services needs. This negates the need purchase expensive phone lines to cope with peaks of callers. |
